I recently bought a new Whirlpool Quiet Wash Plus to replace the one we left behind when we sold our house. I was specifically looking for one that was quieter and larger than the previous model we had. I FOUND IT!
My family of five includes 3 hungry teenagers and their friends who are constantly eating! This model has a silverware basket with a section for small items, such as pastry tips, corn holders, etc. The basket can also be hooked on the bottom rack if you prefer. Some of the dividers fold down as well to make room for larger items if needed. This is wonderful for me, I never graduated from dishwasher loading school!!!
As for the controls, they are push button, and easy to use. I have 6 choices that range from washing China to Pots and Pans. I can delay the start by two, four or six hours. This is wonderful! No more forgetting to start the dishwasher because I was waiting for the washer to stop!
My absolute favorite feature of the control panel is the little green light on the front that comes on the cycle is finished, telling you that the dishes are clean! The light stays on until the door is opened for the first time. No more asking if the dishes in the dishwasher are clean.
I do not want to forget to mention how quiet this dishwasher is. You literally cannot hear it, unless you are standing next to it. Many times I have had to go over and see if I actually started it. I love this, you can talk on the phone or even have a conversation while standing near it. This is important to me, because my household is already loud with the kids and their eternal noise making!!!
