Model#DU920QWDB4 Quiet Wash Plus
We built a house 2 yrs ago and the salesman recommended this dishwasher to us because you didn't have to rinse the dishes. Now I've only used my previous dishwasher only about 10x in all the 13 yrs we were there simply because there's just two of us and it just wasn't time/cost effective to me. But NOW, whenever I don't have time, or have company I just load it up and VOILA! Also, since it's just the two of us, we don't fill it up very fast, but I can still rinse the dishes and wait until next time! The salesman said that it uses less water than if you rinsed the dishes yourself (I guess depending on # of dishes)! NOW for those misers who are water/electric/money-efficient, how can you pass a deal like that? Once you get spoiled, you are hooked! I still only use it maybe once or twice every 2 weeks, but hey...that's better than before!
My mother-in-law got a new dishwasher and she's afraid to use any of the 2 great features (not rinsing the dishes or just rinsing). She said a friend of hers had one and the dishwasher started smelling because it didn't rinse very well. This model rinses very well, except when there's hard crusty items like rice, which they say it wouldn't do well anyway. She also doesn't rinse the dishes in there and wait to wash later because there's just 2 of them also. She doesn't understand that it uses less water anyway? She's missing out! Hint: if you're really afraid of rinsing at lunch just 4 dishes or so and then rinsing again at dinner...what I sometimes do is open the dishwasher half way thru to stop the cycle after I hear it drain, and then after dinner just close the door and let it finish the cycle, since the cyle is quite long anyway, about 6 minutes! But you have to remember to just close the door and NOT press the button or it will start from the very beginning again!
