The DC12 is one of the newest color creations to come from Xerox. It was introduced in October of 1999 and had rave reviews. The product has sold many since it's birth and still is strong today.
The copier is smaller and more powerful than it's older siblings such as the 5750/5765. The color will blow you away.
Some basic features to the copier is that it can duplex, has 4 paper trays, bypass that supports all paper sizes, card stock, transparency. The copier can do around 40 PPM and around 25 from the Bypass. It can support 12x18 paper which a lot of copiers didn't in the past. The copier has a friendly User Interface that anyone can pick up a little bit of practice. The paper supply is easy to pick from, making duplex copies off the glass is a nice feature. The user can make great copies from photos including changing saturation levels, sharpness, contrast and brightness.
The copier also works great as a network printer using a Digital Front End box such as one from EFI. It's great for multiple groups of people that are trying to get prints out to a color copier. It will be quick and fast for people in a hurry. The color would be great for presentations. The copier can come with an editing pad for those that like to chose color quality. It also has the option for a document feeder which would be great to use with the mailboxes. The stapler is also optional and can staple up to 50 pages of plain paper and around 25 pages of card stock.
This copier is has added features such as mailbox, sorter, and stapler. It would be great for a medium size office doing network printing or off the glass. It's a reliable copier, doesn't jam easily and if it does jam areas are marked. It would be to the group's advantage to get a maintenance contract on it cause it will need to be serviced either for jams or for regular updates. I would recommend this copier and is another fine product from Xerox.
