I have to disagree with some of the comments in the other reviewers text. The machine is excellent, built to Yamaha standards, its heavy, and you can feel the quality when you lift it. And most importantly it sound incredible. I have a JVC and Sony deck and this one blows both of them away sonically. Yamaha focuses on less bells and whistles and more into sonics and build quality. The digital out is the main reason for its sonic superiority. No fancy lights or meters, just plain Yamaha quality..this unit has been discontinued, but I found a floor model at a local electronics chain store for 185 dollars !!!!!!
