| rampal76's Full Review: Yamaha RX-V2400 7.1 Channels Receiver |
I've bought Yamaha RX-V2400 and am completely satisfied with it. After doing an in-depth research on various receivers (Denon, Kenwood, Pioneer, Harman Kardon), I have settled for RX2400. The reasons are several. Some of them are:
120W per channel, THD (Total Harmonic distortion) of 0.04% which is very good, THX certification (not that this is greatly useful), all dolby and DTS formats, the option of lip-sync for audio delay, zone 2 features, and the sheer power of the machine. The YPAO automatic setup was awesome. Do use it.
The first movie I watched on it was Cliffhanger. I also played braveheart soundtrack and the minutest of the sounds were revealed with utmost accuracy.
Just like you, I have searched all of the internet for information. One thing I could not find was what speakers go with what receivers. For your information, here is my system:
Yamaha RX-V2400 receiver, Harman Kardon HKTS 14 and added HKS 4 for back surround to make 7.1 channel speakers, Pionner DV-578A-S. Trust me, building this wasnt easy. It took a considerable amount of time in research and energy. In case you want more information, here are the best websites:
