Did I get ripped-off?

I ordered this TV from Ubid.com, a company which has jerked me around several times now (for example: selling items as "new" only to send a lousy refurb to me; claiming that this TV had 6 A/V inputs & outputs, including S-video).

The picture quality is actually pretty decent for such a cheap television. When I read that it only had 200 lines of horizontal resolution (many TVs don't advertise a number less than 500) I was worried that the picture would be terrible, but the lower resolution is hardly noticeable even with DVDs. Overall, the picture quality is fine for everyday use, and tolerable for DVD use.
It's nice that this TV is stereo, ubid advertised it as mono, so this sort of made up for the no S-video thing. The sound is pretty decent, and although the speakers are somewhat close to one another there is still something of a "stereo" effect (something that is often lost on stereos where speakers are too close together).
The remote for this television is surprisingly well designed. The layout is intuitive and easy to navigate, the channel and volume controls glow in the dark, and all of the buttons are large and easily found, even without this benefit. It's also a tough unit- of all my remotes this is the one that could tolerate the most abuse. It is also the only one that everyone can figure out immediately, it just makes sense.
Apart from the fact that I got something different than what I thought I was buying on an online auction, I don't really have any big problems with this TV. The one thing that really bothers me is that when the unit is turned off, it makes a constant high-pitched noise. The noise is pretty quiet, but when I had the TV in my bedroom for a while I just couldn't stand it and would have to unplug the set. Now that the TV is in its proper place, that being another room of my apartment, I don't notice the sound at all.
Overall, this TV is a good everyday set that is extremely uncomplicated and easy to use, but still provides extra goodies like stereo sound. I would recommend this TV to someone who just wants something simple for watching TV programs and the occasional movie, but only if it can be found for under $200. It is by no means terrible, but there are also better TVs out there for the same retail price.
Update: the television has recently developed strange white 'spots' in three corners, as if there were some magnetic source such as speakers close to the set. Perhaps there is just some strange radiation in my house, or maybe the tube is already going bad...
