Pros: Many features, big window, the horizontal shape make it easier to cut for sandwiches.
Cons: Recipe book should be adjusted, good only for big size of loaf
I bought Zojirushi BBCC-X20 bread machine less than one year ago after reading much about it online. I had my previous bread machine, for a couple of years. It was a different brand and I had no problem with my old bread maker. I fell absolutely in love with home made bread. The recipe book was excellent and without any experience I could make bread following any recipe right from the book. But I had to move and could not take bread maker with me, so, at the new place I used a different Zojirushi I got from my sister for some time. She gave me it to use until I have settled down and bought my own. Though I was quite satisfied with the bread maker itself, I believe the recipe book definitely needs some adjustments. Since I changed the amount of water and flour in ALL recipes, the bread comes out perfectly. Yes, I could make my own adjustments because I have certain experience and I still have the recipe book from my old bread maker. If this is your first bread maker, I am afraid that you will be disappointed and you might think there is something wrong with the bread maker. Anyway, I thought, the bread maker was good enough for me, so, when it came to buy my own one I decided to buy Zojirushi BBCC-X20. I needed a machine that would make larger loaves for my family. I read that Zojirushi BBCC-X20 can make three different sizes of loaves. I was thinking it would be very convenient, I can make a smaller size and bake more often and have a loaf of fresh bread all the time. Or try a new recipe in a small size to find out if we like it. Or bake just for me a small size loaf of bread which I like but my husband doesn't, for example. And still I'll be able to bake a large loaf for all of us. By the way, my old bread maker had this feature and the recipe book had two versions of every recipe for different sizes. I must admit this Zojirushi BBCC-X20 can't make properly small loaves. I think the problem is two mixing/kneading paddles. The small amount of dough stays near one paddle or another and can't be kneaded properly. As a result, bread looks terribly outside and inside. So, I am thinking of buying another small bread maker to use both bread makers for different occasions. I still give this bread maker 4 stars because if you don't need small size of bread and can handle with the recipe book, I believe, you'll be very satisfied with Zojirushi BBCC-X20.
