I gave Dell the boot, and boy am I glad!!

For the extra $100 I couldn't be happier. I wanted to use Napster's "to go" service, and started with a Dell unit. What a disaster!!! The H320 was a little bulkier than I expected, so if small size is a big deal for you, look around. On the other hand, I felt like it was a lot sturdier as well. Music from WMP10 transfered very easily when I was using my own CD's. I found a problem with Napster music that I can hopefully help you with. I spent forever on the phone trying to contact iriver tech support...forget it. I discovered that all of my MP3 files were playing fine, but none of the .wma files from Napster. Someone told me to go in and make sure the date and time were correct on my unit. Once I changed the year to 2005 everything worked flawlessly!!! The new software you can download from the iriver site allows you to search by artist, genre or album. This is a lot nicer than browsing endlessly through the file tree system. On the other hand, the H320 does not let you find things alphabetically like the Dell unit did. This can become cumbersome when you have tons of music. If, for example you are looking at all of your artists, and you want Sting, but you are starting with ABBA, you have a long way to scroll down. So far that is really the only drawback we have found. We own two of the units. The belt clip does allow the unit to twirl, so be careful you don't suddenly find yourself with a clip and no unit. Take it from us...buy these things on a credit card. We lost one of them within the first week by leaving it on an airplane! The insurance a credit card offers is worth it. These are pricey!
Now that we have solved the date problem I am happy as a clam with the H320.
