Pros: Sound, Compatibility with most formats, Looks great, Voice Recorder,
Cons: Scrolling for music, minor glitches, bulky, not for clumsy people, small screen
The Bottom Line: Sound is great. Pictures/radio/text files are a plus. Screen tad too small for pictures. Scrolling for songs is a work-out. A fantastic bargain under $280.

| spesholslakr69's Full Review: iRiver H320 (20 GB) MP3 Player |
The functions on the iRiver are better than average: the voice recored, fm radio, pictures, and music are all shown or heard with quality. The bulkiness and the lack of easily scrolling to songs are the biggest setbacks. Now...the iPod has video, bigger screen for the same price..., but happy buying!
I've had this product for a year now. I believe the iPod video has blew right past it in terms of quality, function, accessories, and appearance.
I've used the voice recorder for more than an hour in a candidate forum; I heard everything that was said.
It fits well in your pocket, unless you wear skin tight jeans. The iRiver is for the most part easy to use, however, the manual can be your best friend for the first few hours in purchasing the h320. For the most part, which I enjoy, the iRiver is pretty much customizable.
You cannot hear the music while you are looking at pictures or reading .txt files, which it also supports.
The screen is also too small consider how big the Iriver is. But the liquid crystal display is very nice.
The navigation can be a little too hard because the buttons are a little too small for a person with big hands.
I've dropped this product on cement twice, and I think that is the cause of its incapable to play songs. It just skips the songs. The mp3 files that start with C, were unplayable until I uploaded the same songs back on.
iRiver.com is very useful if you have any problems or questions with you iRiver. They told me to use my Reset button with my iRiver was frozen because I dropped in the sink when it was full of water...yes three hundred dollars were about to down the drain...literally! BUT...it dried out and it now works better than I expected it would (it sounds the same now as when I bought it).
I love the line in/line out. For other sound products that have the line in plug, one can listen to the songs on the mp3 player through the sound speakers.
I like this product a lot. I haven't complained about it (except when I dropped it, which was my fault, and the scrolling part, but you can just roam using the shuffle component!) I would consider to revise what you want in a mp3 player and compare the iPod and iRiver to the fullest extent to make every penny count!!! If you are a picture/video/music lover, look at iPod, its okay to go with bandwagon on this one. If you enjoy the radio/hearing your or others' voices, then h320 is for you. It's WORTH it!
