Pros: Great sound, nice color screen, excellent customer service
Cons: Not very reliable, somewhat big compared to other MP3 players.
The Bottom Line: The H320 is an easy to use player with good sound. The problem is that it is not very durable. On my 4th in less than a year

| usrgfra's Full Review: iRiver H320 (20 GB) MP3 Player |
I have owned my H320 for just under a year. I selected it in part by the reviews on this web site. After I bought it and got it charged up, the first time I turned it on to add some music, the hard drive would freeze up and not allow me to do anything. After talking with IRiver customer service, it was determined that they would send me another H320 unit. I received the replacement H320 within 3 days. I was a little upset when the replacement unit was a factory refurbished unit that came without a serial number and small scratches on the front. At least this one worked, for a while. About a month after getting the replacement H320, the same issue with the hard drive freezing up would occur about every third time I would use it. At least this time the reset button on the side would work. After a couple of weeks of this, I called IRiver again, and they agreed that there was a problem. When I mentioned that I was a little upset about sending in a brand new unit and getting a refurbished unit without a serial number on it in return, IRiver gladly sent me a brand new H320 package, including charger, headphones and carrying case. This third H320 worked like a charm. The sound of the H320 is great, and being able to customize the sound with the equalizer is a great feature. After 4 0r 5 months I started to realize why some many reviews of the H320 were so positive, this thing rocked. It rocked that is until my "media port" which is used to download music from "Napster-to-Go" loosened up and my USB cable would no longer make a secure connection with the media port, thus not allowing me to get music from Napster. Called IRiver again, and they once again sent me a replacement H320. This one knock on wood, has worked fine since I got it. The hard drive does freeze up on occasion, but I have learned to be patient and it will come back to life in a few minutes. I did notice on the IRIVER website that the H320 is no longer being made, and was replaced by a 20GB H10. Could it be that the H320 had too many problems that they couldn't resolve? We will never know. My older brother bought the 20GB H10 back in September of 2005 and he has had no problems with it. The H320 has a lot of nice features on it. It has a very long battery life, has a great color screen, and can personalized with all of the different settings from the menu screen. When compared to other MP3 players the H320 is a bit thick and bulky, but for me it is not about beauty, but functionality, and so far this 4th H320 has kept me happy.
