H320 Owners are on their own

Pros: sound INCREDIBLE w/better earbuds, color screen BRIGHT
Cons: Absence of iRiver support has caused me to look elsewhere.
The Bottom Line: IF and only if iRiver would still support this machine, I would highly recommend it, but H320 owners have been forced to fend for themselves.

I have to admit that I LOVED my H320 for the first 12-15 months after purchasing it. I am not a hi-tech person at all. I simply drag and drop music from my home PC onto my H320. I keep folders on my home PC such as Christmas, Country, Pop, Alt Rock, etc. I'm constantly updating my home PC files and when I do, I simply drag and drop the new songs to the proper folders in my H320. Very simple! I would get to work and play my music through a boom box for sometimes 8 hours a day shuffling all my music. I would hook it up directly to my Aux Input on my car stereo. I got incredible life out of the battery.
As the battery life began to diminish after about a year, I was dismayed to learn that iRiver had discontinued this product and you could not even send it in for a battery replacement. I was forced to go to a third party vendor for a battery, take the entire H320 apart, reinsert the hard drive AND new battery and then put the thing back together. Now the hard drive spinning creates a very loud buzzing as the new battery swells and puts pressure on the hard drive. I am forced to carry the H320 around with me with only ONE screw holding the casings together.
My point is, is that for nearly $400, I would like to believe that a company would stand behind their products for a little bit longer before dropping all support whatsoever. And this is a SHAME because I truly loved the H320 but cannot recommend it to anyone because when it begins to die, you WILL be on your own.
