Hi Ashok,
Thank you for the kind words. I love rechargeable batteries, but for this player I didn't mind not having the Li Ion battery because I think it would have added more bulk to the player (need to have the charging circuitry added). The player itself has enough smarts in it though, you can set up your battery as Alkaline or NiMH so that the battery meter reflects the correct power.
Yea, I am a helluva shutterbug. Good shutterbug, I am not sure :) Things got really moving after I got my DSC-U20 which I end up taking with me everywhere!!
Well, we're planning on the wedding being next year, never knew it took so much work and effort to get married :)

Excellent review Steve. I had debated buying this unit myself. While it is a superb MP3 player, I wish it had a built-in rechargeable Li Ion battery.
