| puggsley456's Full Review: iRiver iMP-50 SlimX Personal CD Player |
i just bought this cd player because it was on sale! When I got home and tried it out I was very amazed by the sound quality of it. There are a lot of features and different setting to play with inside the cd player. It plays mp3's off of cd-rw which was an added bonus for me. if you plan on buying this cd player you may want to get a better set of headphones though. The earbuds IRIVER supplies you with don't accurately reproduce the sound good enough. I already had a set of Sony MDR-V600 headphones at home and didn't need the ones that came with the cd player. This one of the only portable cd players I've used that I can play at full volume with no distortion. And dont get me wrong it's fairly loud, but it fails to reproduce the low end frequencies. But how many do! The only thing that this cd player is missing is a backlit display. In a bright room the display can be hard to see unless you hold it close to your face. And its the only portable cd player I've seen that actually holds the cd upside down.
But all in all I think Iriver has a WINNER With the IMP-50!
