I originally first noticed this product while I was getting paint for the inside of my home.  I am always painting because I have children and pets, and my walls always seem to need touching up, or I am just ready for a new color. What is worse is that I am always having to touch up the baseboards.  I despise painting them because I end up not being able to walk for a good three or four days due to my fibromyalgia and other health issues. It doesn't matter what color, or what type of paint I use, within six months I feel the need to retouch or completely paint the baseboards over again.


I was shopping at my neighborhood Home Depot when I spotted the Printed Duck Brand Duct Tape display. Wow, colored duct tape. They had all sorts of different colors and patterns, pink zebra, hot pink, and blue, red, checkerboard, and man other colors. Low and behold I spotted leopard print.   Wow I thought, how could I incorporate this tape in my bathroom?  My bathroom theme so happened to be leopard print. 


Oh yes I did. I not only completely covered the baseboard in leopard duck tape, but also recovered the toilet paper holder, and my towel rack in leopard print.


What I loved: 


I really love this stuff.  It took nothing more than a pair of scissors and some duct tape to do my baseboards, and I had them done within a matter of minutes.  No paint spills to tend to, or drop cloths, or purchasing paint brushes.  I wasn't bent over for long periods of time painting.  I also like that this stuff isn't permanent unless you pull it off.  You don't have to commit.  Now, I have had my duct tape on my baseboards for about 5 months now.  They look as clean and fresh as the day I applied them.  They are so easy to care for now. I damp a cloth and lightly go over the area and it is clean. 


The funny thing about this duct tape bathroom is that I always get compliments on the baseboard and then people ask me where I got my baseboard.  I tell them what I did and then they laugh.  Well, I don't care. I paid around four dollars for a roll that  measures 1x88" x 10 yards. 


I am pleased with how easy this tape is to work with.  Just pull from the roll, cut and apply.  It is as simple as that. No primer, no prep, no worries.



I have read online where people have made wallets, hammocks, and all sorts of uses they have found for their duct tape. I think I will stick with the baseboards for now. I highly recommend.
