Arby's is a chain fast-food burger restaurant. Stores may be either franchises or corporate owned. Becuase of the wide variations in customer service or food quality this review is specific to the following location:
Arby's 7122 STRAWBERRY PLAINS PIKE KNOXVILLE,TN 37914 Phone: 865-523-2191 Online: http://www.arbys.com/
Arby's is a fast food restaurant that specializes in roast beef sandwiches. They now offer other an expanded menu. Offerings include a line of Marketfresh sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, popcorn chicken and salads. Side items include cheese sticks, potato cakes and french fries or curly fries.
I had to go over some things with a colleague. Since the restaurant was in between her job and mine she picked Arby's. It had been years since I'd eaten at there. Because it's a little farther from the interstate than I usually go it's not typically on my radar screen. Originally, my plan was to just get a soda and sit and talk. Since I found myself with almost 30 mintues to kill I decided to go ahead and get dinner.
It surprised me to see how the menu had changed. Of course, they still had the old favorite of Beef and Cheddar. Now, there were more options. Some of them sounded pretty tempting. It took me a few minutes to make up my mind. Thankfully, at 4:30 pm. the store wasn't busy. Everything was nice and peaceful. That was so nice!
The counter girl who waited on me was named Julia. She did her best to help me decide by answering questions. THAT was unusual.
After some internal deliberation between the plain roast beef that I used to love, versus the Marketfresh sandwich that sounded so tempting, I decided on the Marketfresh. The Roast Turkey came on honey wheat bread with lettuce, swiss cheese, tomato and onions. It's topped off with honey mustard and mayo. Onions make me itch. I asked Julia if these could be left off. She assured me that they could be and went herself to make sure it was done.
I wanted to pinch myself. Was this really fast food?
Before she took care of my sandwish she talked me into ordering a chocolate shake and potato cakes. It was a little more than I'd had in mind but she made it sound tempting. I wonder if she gets a commission?
The total came to about $10. Defintely more than I'd had in mind when I came in. But, as Julia had promised, it was good. It was pretty quick too. I finished and had time to spare before my colleague arrived.
She wound up ordering the chicken salad Marketfresh sandwich. Julia couldn't talk her into a shake though. My colleague wanted water instead. She didn't say what her bill came to but she did say she was pleased with her sandwish. If you have a nut allergy beware. She said there nuts in the sandwich and also grapes. This surprised her and she liked it.
All around our food quality was good. The service was remarkable. And, wonders never cease, Julia could actually count change.
Another plus was the clean restaurant. It didn't last long though. Right after my colleague arrived so did a van load of teenagers. The peace and quiet was shattered. Oh well, you can't have everything.
