First of all I don't like fast food hamburgers. When our family stops in a fast food place I look to see if they have a salad bar or maybe a chicken sandwich. However Back Yard Burgers is an exception. I'll admit it took me a while to try them because I thought they would be just like every other fast food restaurant. After people, including my wife, kept telling me how good they were I decided to break down and try one. It was delicious. It really is as good as you can grill at home.
The meat is nice and thick, well cooked and prepared. With a little lettuce and tomato it's certainly several levels above the usual "bought" hamburger. The french fries are also well cooked and have a nice little spicey taste to them. (Just right-not so much it overwhelms you.)
The restaurant itself is clean and well maintained. The particular ones I have seen are not extremely large, and yes they are usually busy because they serve good food, but they get you served within a reasonable amount of time. Normally you're in and out just as quickly as any other fast food place.
For good food, good service, priced as reasonable as any fast food, I definitely recommend Back Yard Burger.
By the way they serve other things too, but their hamburgers are so good I haven't tried anything else yet!
