Pros: Large selection of side dishes, the mashed potatoes are "real"
Cons: They serve tiny, fatty chickens, and small portions of side dishes
The Bottom Line: Boston Market used to be a nice, friendly, generous, family-oriented restaurant, but it has changed alot for the worse.

When Boston Market first opened in my neighborhood, about four years ago, I was pretty impressed with the fact that we now had a "Fast Food" restaurant that was a "step-up" from all the others in my neighborhood. It had fast food service, fast food prices, but real homemade food quality. I especially enjoyed the fresh taste of the mashed potatoes, made from actual potatoes, not instant like KFC. My husband and daughter really love mashed potatoes, so these really made a big hit in my family. I also enjoyed the fact that the chicken is cooked in a rotisserie, instead of that unhealthy fried method. The third thing that attracted me to Boston Market was their large selection of side dishes, the largest I had seen in any fast food reataurant in my neighborhood EVER.
This is how I was initially drawn in to Boston Market, but it has been largely downhill since then. At that time I used to go there every single weekend without fail. Now, it's alot if I go there once every two months. The reason for this is, in the beginning, they served actual "Normal sized" pieces of chicken, now you need a microscope to see your chicken! I don't know where they get those chickens from, but they are incredibly small, It's like you're looking for the meat, and hoping to find more, but it just isn't there; What a dissapointment! The chickens are also alot fattier than they used to be, they're actually quite full of fat, yuck! In the beginning, the chickens were alot meatier and alot more worth the money they charge. Why would they change? I have no idea, because it certainly can't help their business! I just don't get it!
They also give smaller side-dish portions than they used to.
Boston Market started out as a nice, friendly, generous family-oriented fast food restaurant, but it has gone down alot. Therefore, I really don't recommend it as a good restaurant. If you eat there, you might be disappointed in the food portions and the quality of the chicken. You probably won't feel you're getting your money's worth. Check Boston Market out for yourself, and you will see what I mean about the place I used to like alot being a Big Disappointment now!
