Good Food for a Good Price; But Gone!

We had the enjoyable experience of eating Boston Market food twice before the restaurant vanished from the Spokane area and I assume left for greener pastures. Spokane is not a very large city compared to some, but it does boast more than a normal share of restaurants. I was surprised when the Boston Market's closed here. They also closed all stores in Washington, Oregon and Idaho.
The food quality was exceptional. Very fresh and tasty, and decent portions for the price. The menu had a good variety, and actually it was quite difficult to choose because there were so many options. We had full intentions of going back, but the store closed before we were able to do so.
My son tells me that they closed these stores because the corporation filed for voluntary reorganization under Chapter 11 Bankruptcy and the franchise holder subsequently closed all 56 stores in the three involved states. I have no idea if the actual business revenue was the problem or not. What I do know is that it was one of the best choices for fast food and it is a definite loss to our community to have the stores no longer be available here.
I have also heard that McDonald's Corporation is in the process of trying to purchase the Boston Markets. I have no desire to let my imagination run wild on what the combination of food items could be if this merger goes through. Guess we will have to wait and see!
I will choose Boston Market whenever I am in a place where the stores are still in operation. This is not a meal you will be disappointed in, and the prices are very reasonable. It is somewhere in the middle of a fast-food restaurant and a sit down one, and works well for people on the go. Give it a try if you have the opportunity; you won't be disappointed.
