There is just something about the smell of cinnamon wafting up from these places while you walk thru the food court at the local mall that makes you think of some of your favorite things! It makes you think of your grandma baking something tasty for you when you were a young child. It reminds you of the holidays and all the wonderful smells, of those special treats. I am positive that it is that incredible "memory provoking" cinnamon smell that gets you to buy that first Cinnabon. After that, you are just plain hooked on them. Every time you go to the mall you have to stop at Cinnabon. The worst part is, not only do you buy one of the regular sized cinnabons, which are HUGE warm from the oven cinnamon rolls drenched in a creamy frosting, but you eat it ALL right there at the mall! On top of that you buy a 6-pack to take home with you! And then you join your family to finish them off before they go stale :)
Except for home-made cinnamon rolls, and let's face it how many of us have the time to make home-made cinnamon rolls these days, these are the absolute best. They have an intense cinnamon taste, the frosting is creamy and very sweet, and the dough is just the right consistency... not too light and not too dense. And because they are constantly being made they are incredibly fresh.
If you get some to take home you will want to warm them a bit. I recommend you wrap them loosely in tin foil and heat them in the oven, as I do not use a microwave, nor do I think it does a good job on baked goods.
