Dairy Queen needs to keep her subjects in line!

The Bottom Line: Ice cream is still fine, any thing frozen..just don't ask them to grill anything...

I am still trying to find out what has happened to my favorite ice cream parlor?! Did someone die and leave an idiot in charge? Or maybe the problem is, Ms. Queen has been franchised out to so many ne'er do wells, that she has lost her crown..
We live about 30 miles west of Jacksonville, Florida. We have the usual Burger King, McDonalds type, but do not have my beloved Dairy Queen. For about 3 weeks, I have been seeing the advertisement for Dairy Queen on t.v., touting their Grilled Chili Cheeseburger, so on the way into Jacksonville last week, we made the stop.
This Dairy Queen was located on Normandy Blvd. on the west side of Jacksonville. It has a seating capacity of 80 and looked relatively clean. It was around 11:30 am and we stopped for lunch. There were two people inside, eating ice cream, I really need to pay attention to subtle signs... We went up to the counter and I ordered the Chili Cheeseburger Combo>, which included fries and a drink, my husband ordered the famous Footlong Hot Dog, fries and a drink.
I noticed that there was only one girl working behind the counter. I asked her if she were the only one there and she said no, there was a guy there but, he was in the back room reading. She proceeded to put the fries in the cooker, and returned to the drive-through window..I was kind of curious as to why she didn't put the hamburger on the grill at the same time.
She handed us our drink cups and I filled mine with Pepsi, and it was so flat that I gave her the cup back and told her that I would have a bottled water instead. She brought our food out, and I noticed that the Chili Cheeseburger & Fries were in a box, as was the Footlong hot dog. I was sooo hungry, I opened the box up and took out the burger and fries. That's when I noticed the bun looked a little wilted?. I was horrified to learn that my Grilled Chili Cheeseburger was in fact microwaved!!! As was the hot dog! How can they advertise a Grilled anything, when the put it in the microwave?
Needless to say this is the last time I will visit this Dairy Queen. Until this fast food place can learn how to fire up the grill I won't be back.
