I had never heard of Damon's before, I had even driven past it to get somewhere many times. Then someone from the mid-west recommended it and took us out for dinner...and it was good.

Damon's is a sports bar & grill. This is an understatment though, it's basically a place to go and watch sports on huge TV screens spread around the restaurant. The Damon's we went to, in Portland, OR had two different rooms...a bar area where minors are allowed, and a dining are, but I use that term loosely as it is the same thing as the other section, just a little quieter. Each room had 4 HUGE TV's playing different sports and one of them had NTN trivia on it, for people to play.. now you may be thinking, how can I hear what is being said in the game if there are multiple TV's? Well, each table has a setup which is a switch to specify which TV you want to listen to, and a volume control. So each table can listen to whatever they want.

Now the food. I have been to Damon's twice, and each time I had the ribs & wings combonation. It was a half rack of very tender baby-back ribs, and six chicken wings done to your liking, either buffalo style or with a sweet & spicy chili sauce...both types are very good. The rib meat falls off the bone with the slightest touch, and melts in your mouth..very very good... but the BBQ sauce was nothing too special, seemed to me to be a cheap style bought fromt he grocery store nearby... but it was still very tasty. The meal comes with a choice of a side dish, the usual appear, fries, baked potato, veggies.... and also comes with a very good salad. The salad comes with some great fixin's on it, cheese, croutons, sunflower seeds, cucumbers... a very good salad.

The atmosphere of Damon's is quite relaxed. People come there to have agood time, eat some ribs and have a couple beer. Children are allowed here so don't worry about getting a sitter.
