Pros: Plenty To Do, decent food, great layout
Cons: Can be expensive
The Bottom Line: I would totally go but only if you have $100 or so to spend on two. If not, look for alternatives.

| TrumanMeg's Full Review: Dave & Buster's |
I have been to Dave and Buster's twice this summer (of '01). The first time I was completely overwhelmed by the place. Their dinning area is the size of a decent restraunt (like Friday's) and added to that you have the gigantic Midway to play games at. My boyfriend and I went to the one in Addison, IL both times, so we don't know anything about the other locations, but I'm sure that the service standards are pretty much the same everywhere. We had dinner which was suprisingly good (I would rate it on the level of a Friday's with about the same pricing). The staff was very alert and we never had to ask to have our glasses refilled. Dinner for the 2 of us with desert and appitizers was about $30. We then headed to the midway, which reminds me of a gigantic carinival except with a bar in the middle. We both put $40 on our cards and began to play. They have a decent variety of games, between the skill games that spit out a good amount of tickets if you know which ones to play and the typical video games. The $40 we put on our cards lasted the whole night, which was a nice suprise, but still more expensive than any arcade you would go to, but what acarde do you know of that has alcohol and kicks kids out (that are unchapperoned after 9)?
All in all it is a nice way to spend a night out, especially if you are video game junkies like my boyfriend and I, but beware, the night could run around at least $100 for two.
