While finding myself lost one day when I first moved to Columbus, Ohio, a friend and I ended up in Reynoldsburg. We were famished as it was almost dinner time. Upon stopping for directions to get on the right path to a good place to eat, we were told of a casual tasty family-oriented food place so we could grab a bite to eat.

"and all you can eat at reasonable prices" the couple informed us. After thanking them, we headed on our way to Whitehall, Ohio to the Golden Corral Buffet & Grill for some much needed great food.

The menu items are cooked at the grill in front of the patrons. Grilled chicken, mashed potatoes and Asian beans is what my friend ordered. I ordered the Sirloin Steak with mashed potatoes and Asian beans. It was a toss-up between a Salmon Steak and the Sirloin but I eventually chose what I had in mind in the beginning of our jaunt over there.

After all, that yummy aroma of that luscious steak tempted me just too much. I gave in after I saw and heard it sizzling. mmmm good! It was served piping hot with scrumptious mashed potatoes and the beans were on the side.

Their selection of steak is USDA inspected. It arrived just the way I liked it...medium rare. Their steak buffet is very comfortable and the atmosphere pleasant. Keep in mind that this is a family restaurant so it can be noisy when children are present. However our time there was fairly reasonably quiet. The rush crowd had left.

Oh and my friend thoroughly enjoyed her chicken also. It's funny but we were looking for a fast food place to sit down in but without all the greasy foods and we got one and we also got a quiet one at that time too. So, we enjoyed our meal at leisure and swore we'd tell others about this good restaurant that served fantastic food that's cooked in front of us.

We learned that Golden Corral was closed for a while and reopened its doors after a complete makeover; they've added new additions to the place such as: their bakery and dessert cafe, it was converted into the Chocolate Fixation Station with many yummy desserts. Brownies, rolls and cookies are baked fresh every 45 minutes at the Golden Corral. Also added was the Pacoda Station with several selections of Oriental foods.

We ordered brownies for dessert and enjoyed a cup of their good coffee.

The Golden Corralis located east of Hamilton Road on Main Street in Whitehall, Ohio. The early bird buffet is opened from 2 to 4 PM Monday through Friday and the breakfast buffet on Saturday and Sundays are opened from 7:30 until 11 AM. Oh and our steak and chicken were $5.79 and $6.79. You won't be disappointed at the Golden Coral Buffet and Grill on Main Street in Whitehall, Ohio. This is a chain restaurant and there are some Golden Corrals in other western states also. So, look it up in the phonebook or google it and see if you have one near you.

As I mentioned, you will not be disappointed. We weren't.
