During a coast-to-coast road trip, 2 of my friends and I were starving,and we saw a sign for a restaurant called "happy chef" We were quite amused by this title, and quickly agreed to eat at one.

Although the server was friendly and I was happy to get a whole caraffe of coffee, the food was terrible for the price. I had a "hot" turkey sandwich for $7.50, I used quotes because when my food came it was anything but hot, it was more like luke-warm. The sandwich reminded me of the fare that one might get at an elementary school cafeteria, tasteless and dull. I doused the mashed potatos with salt and pepper, but it didn't help it. The gravy was well, just awful. At first I thought that it might had just been my meal, but my other two friends agreed that their dinners were just as skanky as mine.

Fortunately, we don't have any "happy chef" restaurants in the north-east, if we did, I would be a sadder person.
