There are countless food chains that offer decent food and reasonable prices. Most of them feature burgers, tex-mex and other fried delicacies. To me, they are interchangeable, predictable and usually crowded. The thing that stands out about Hooters is the waitresses and the wings. I love my wings hot and Hooters usually delivers. Their hottest selection is "911". They are not even listed on the menu at my local Hooters. Sometimes they are hotter than other times. I'm not happy until I am sweating and my eyes are watering. I guess I like to torture myself. The rest of the menu is average. They have chicken, shrimp, hot dogs and other typical pub grub. Their cheesesteak is pretty good, but I usually stick with the wings. The curly fries are also good. The waitresses are a big attraction. They are world famous for their outfit which has gotten a little less revealing over the years. They are usually friendly college age girls working there. Most of the patrons are men, but there are always a good number of women and children eating there as well. My mother actually enjoys the place, and I took my wife there for her 30th birthday (her request). While it is not your typical family joint, I see nothing wrong with bringing children there. I have been to over 15 different Hooters, and have never had a bad experience. Hooters is a for someone looking for something different from your everyday chain restaurant. The food is decent and I would recommend the wings. The beer selection is good, but sometimes a little warm or flat. They have happy hour specials and different theme nights. I would not recommend Hooters to people watching their diet, nor would uptight folks like it. Every once in a while it is a nice treat for myself.
