Pros: Good menu variety, reasonable prices, good service and a welcoming attitude.
Cons: Food quality is OK but not outstanding
The Bottom Line: We don't have a lot of choices for a large group late at night and they are very acomodating. Plus the food is fair and the prices are reasonable.

| tennis_player's Full Review: IHOP |
We are a group of tennis players that go out on Friday nights for something to eat after playing tennis at our local club in Northern California (Pleasanton). We are a mixed bunch, guys and girls, young and old, married and single, etc. Usually, there are about 8 to 10 of us. We look for a place that will tolerate a group having fun, have decent prices, good menu variety and acceptable food. The local IHOP in Dublin seems to fit the bill for most of us.
We usually go in at about 10:30 PM and stay until closing at Midnight. We order various things ranging from full dinners to just having desert and everything in between. We like the fact that they serve breakfast all day. And, the prices are fairly reasonable and the service is always friendly. And, they have a decent Senior's Menu. And, the facility is reasonably clean and never smells musty or old.
Being a senior and on a low fat regimen, I like being able to substitute turkey sausage on their breakfast combinations. I often order the Senior Pancake served with 1 egg, 3 pancakes and bacon or link sausage. I have them substitute the turkey sausage pattie. It's a good value at $5.49.
My wife usually gets the Swedish Pancakes. They are light and very thin and not super filling or doughy. It has a good flavor and is flavored with some berries that I am not familiar with. They come with powdered sugar garnish.
I've had their Double Club Sandwich and their Grilled Chicken Sandwich on Sourdough with Jack Cheese. Both are very good. The double Club comes with 6 strips of bacon. I take 3 of them out and give them to someone in the group having breakfast.
We also like to split their Apple Crisp ($2.99) for something sweet. It comes with a double scoop of ice cream that we pass on to anyone that wants it.
The service is cordial and we like the large variety of flavored syrups that are right on the table and ready for immediate use. Other condiments like a bottled hot sauce and catsup are also on the table at all times. And, when you order coffee, it comes with a full carafe so refills are no problem!
So, we are pretty pleased with the place. We used to go to local Coco's but the service was so spotty, we got tired of them and they got tired of us. Besides, the food at Coco's was marginal. We also tried Applebee's but they have no way to accommodate a group of more than 6 without splitting us up. It's weird that they have no ability to take in groups larger than 6.
Now, like many chain operations, other IHOP locations may offer the same or similar menu, but the service, the food quality and cleanliness can vary, considerably. I can't recommend all IHOPs but I can safely recommend the one in Dublin, California.
