Could I have some syrup please....

Well, IHOP is one of my favorites. Their coffee is absolutely the best. Always hot and fresh and even when not hungry, I patronize this place for a fresh hot cup and a few moments to myself. Open 24 hours a day it makes for a nice visit when you just can't get to sleep.....
I visited IHOP yesterday evening again. Accompanied by my children and a neighbor and epinions friend, Ampson.
All is well, you enter and are ALWAYS greeted with a smile. A favorite hang out after clubbing and weekend dates, this place is large enough to accommodate those patrons and our little family of four with plenty of space and friendly service yet.
The menu is great, offering a wide variety of pancake meals - to include rooty tooty fresh and fruity, breakfast sampler, international pancakes and a variety of omelettes. All in all the menu being very diverse and depending on my "food mood" I often enjoy a good club sandwich, chicken fingers or soup, salad or other sides.
Have you every yearned for a cheeseburger and fries at 6:00 am? This is the place.
So, back to our visit, it was enjoyable as well although I wore the syrup during this visit instead of eating it on my pancakes. Word to the wise, when handing the syrup (or any other condiment for that matter), ALWAYS make sure the lid is on tight. As it has it, the lid was not on tightly last night and boy, to my surprise (if you ever wondered), syrup "travels" in slow motion. Smile. Need I say that I was the laughing stock but enjoy making others laugh, so what the heck. I was completely covered in syrup (see, I AM sweet). My son didn't share my sense of humor as he attempted to clean himself. Funny but why were we the only ones affected? (ahem, uh, huh, Ampson, sure you didn't have something to do with it? - check out his review on the place...) It shoulda hit EVERYONE at the table, but oh well.
Back to the visit. We enjoy the food, it's always fast (near 5 minutes from order time), hot and good. The variety is great. Wait staff has always been courteous, appropriate and extremely friendly. Price is great, most items are $5 dollars or under (exception: steak entrees), so feeding a family of four comes to around $20 dollars plus tip.
