We went to IHOP for the first time in a long time yesterday. They have just opened a new IHOP not too far from us and we thought we would check it out.
IHOP offers a wide variety of food items on their menu. They have sandwiches,salads and several different hot meals. But their specialty is breakfast and more specifically pancakes as their name suggests. Now I like pancakes but I don't always want them with any other breakfast item I order. The way IHOP'S pricing is set up, you end up paying more if you order an item without the pancakes. I wanted an omelette and would have gladly settled for just toast with it, but it was cheaper to order the omelette with the pancakes,than to get the omelette with the fillings I wanted and toast on the side. So I got the omelette with the pancakes. It was way too much food and I couldn't finish it. Because of this, I will think twice before going to IHOP again.
My husband ordered just pancakes and he was very happy with them. IHOP has several different varieties of syrups on the table which is a nice touch.
The service was adequate but our waitress was not very friendly. Unfortunately, that also makes me think again about going to IHOP.
