IHOP: More Than Just Breakfast

I've been going to IHOP's ever since I can remember. With breakfast served all day and great sandwiches and dinners, it has something for everyone in the family.
The Food
I, personally, have never been a big breakfast person, but IHOP's waffles and pancakes always leave me wanting more (that is, if I could eat any more-their servings leave you filled). Growing up my favorite breakfast item was the chocolate chip pancakes that had whipped cream on top in the shape of a smiley face. Now that I'm more mature (ha, yeah right), I enjoy the silverdollar pancakes and love their hashbrowns. They, of course, have everything else such as eggs, bacon, sausages, etc.
If you feel more like having dinner for dinner, they have great entrees and yummy salads. When I'm not too hungry, I order the "salad and half of a sandwich." The garden salad is always fresh, with lots of dressing on the side, and the sandwich always tastes great (you can chose from ham, turkey, or roast beef I believe).
I usually skip dessert, but they have good ice cream and ice cream sundaes, as well as different cakes. I think the desserts vary from restaurant to restaurant.
The Service
Usually the service is great. They're friendly and always check up on you and bring your orders promptly. But tonight must've been one of those "blackhole" nights, as my dad calls them. It seems as all the staff got sucked down some blackhole, and are nowhere to be found. Once our waitress came (after about 10 minutes of us sitting there) to take our orders, she brought our food in not-so-record time, and neglected to check up on us. I guess tonight was just a bad night. I hope so. Otherwise, the service is wonderful.
The Wait
It depends what day you go to an IHOP. On the weekdays it's usually not too busy, so there is no wait. But on weekends there is rarely a time when you don't have to wait. But the staff keeps everything moving so you won't be waiting for that long. But, there is (usually) a waiting area with benches; so you won't be standing the whole time.
Overall, all the IHOP's I've been to have been very clean, with a friendly and family-like environment. The food is great, and you won't leave the restaurant hungry. Plus, the price isn't too bad. I would recommend this to anyone: families, friends, couples, and everyone else.
