| kamel622's Full Review: In-N-Out Burger |
I have been a lover of In-N-Out Burgers since I was a teen-ager and the best way to spend a Friday or Saturday night was to cruise to their stand, order and sit in the parking lot waiting for other friends to congregate.
In-N-Out is limited to California, Nevada and Arizona at this point in time, so I'll do my best to make the rest of the country a little jealous, and really describe the great food that they have.
Everything at In-N-Out is very fresh. Their french fries are cut, on the premises from fresh potatoes. They are skinned in a machine made to peel them, and then sliced and fresh cooked. They are really wonderful! I wish that they carried a large order, but alas, they have one size only...solution, order two. :)
Their burgers are also made to order. No cooking up a bunch and then letting them sit. When you place your order, either at the front window or one of the two drive-up windows, they put your burger on the grill. Generally when ordering they will ask if you want onion or not and since it is made to order if you don't want something on it, it is easy for them to customize for you. The bun is toasted and spread liberally with their own Thousand Island Dressing and then a fair amount of fresh lettuce and a large slice of tomato. You can also order with or without cheese. You can order a single or double.........even a 5 X 5 (five patties, five pieces of cheese) like my husband did for his brothers 55th Birthday!
For drinks they have the best Vanilla, Chocolate or Strawberry Malts made with 100% Ice Cream and are very thick and creamy. They also have Iced Tea, Lemonade, Coke, Diet Coke, 7-Up or Coffee.
That is the total menu. Burgers..single or double, with or without cheese, French Fries, Malts and Sodas, but that is plenty. Their prices a very reasonable, with their Cheeseburger being just under $2.00 and about $2.50 for the double double. Fries are $1.50 and average prices on drinks. You can get a great complete meal for $5.00 or $6.00. I have never eaten there that the food wasn't excellent and filling. This is the one burger place that still seems to take pride in serving a quality product and not just how quickly they can mass produce.
