I had not been to Kentucky Fried Chicken in quite a while and I decided it sounded pretty good to me so my husband and I went. Since it is just the two of us and neither one of us like dark meat we usually get the chicken strip meal. It comes with two side dishes and a biscuit also. The total came to about $10. A little high but from what we could remember it would be worth it because they always gave such good helpings. Usually about five strips and a good sized container of our two sides. Good thing because we were hungry. Well guess what. What we got was a little black tray with a lid with three tiny compartments. It was an annoying tray. Slippery and odd shaped and just not very convenient. What was inside was even worse. Three tiny chicken strips and as far as our two sides, it is hard to explain how tiny they were. Probably four to six bites worth. If you have an ice cream scoop at home it was probably the size of that basically maybe a little bigger. Not very satisfying that is for sure. Well I called them to speak to a manager. I thought well someone messed up and didn't give us the right amount. Wrong. The manager said they have a scoop that they use and everyone gets the same amount. I was very surprised. I kept thinking about my new experience with Kentucky Fried Chicken. I realized some things. One, Kentucky Fried Chicken is always called KFC now. They shortened their name and got stingy on their servings. Also two, they never had those stupid black fancy like trays before. They probably had to go downhill so they could afford the fancy looking trays which they were much better without. Now yes the food is still good but would you really want to pay that much for something that isn't even going to make you that full? I won't be going back there again that is for sure.
The food was pretty good as usual.
Actually the service wasn't too bad.
I went through the drive thru.
