It's hard to miss Little Caesars Pizza. It seems that the restaurants are on every corner, and on each of those corners, one will find a teenager holding a sign promoting the "Hot-N-Ready" Pizza special.
I used to love pizza chains, like Papa Johns, Pizza Hut, and Dominoes. Over the years, my tastes have changed, and I can barely stand that "processed" pizza. There are only 2 chains where I still like to dine. One of those is Godfather's Pizza and the other is Little Caesars.
Carry Out
Don't plan on dining inside. Little Caesars is almost exclusively carry out. Off the top of my head, I can think of 5 of these restaurants within my area, and of these 5, there is 1 that has a place to dine inside. It is very small, and there are only 3 booths, so you can't exactly call it a dine-in establishment. It is one of the older stores, so perhaps they were trying something new at the time. Since the stores are carry-out only, they don't offer much to look at. They typically have a glass window in the front, and it looks like a fast food restaurant when you walk in, but there's nothing else. Just a counter, and maybe a drink machine.
Service
The "Hot-N-Ready" promotion has been going on for a while now. Maybe it will become semi-permanent. My friends and I used to love Little Caesars when we were teenagers. Back then, they were the only place to give "2 Pizzas for the price of 1" and they came on those long pieces of cardboard that were wrapped up in paper. It seemed like the greatest thing ever because you could get different toppings on the second pizza. Of course the order always had to be called in. The 2-for-1 days are over, but the service is about the same. Orders can still be called in, and picked up within about 15 minutes or so, but if you're in a hurry, just walk in, ask for a pizza, pay, and leave. They keep pepperoni and cheese pizzas prepared all day, and all you have to do is run in and grab one.
Menu and Price
Other than the instant pepperoni and cheese pizzas for $5, they had an instant supreme for $8. You could just walk in and grab a supreme, but the one closest to me cut that one out, and now it's the meat trio for $8. I assume that is across the board. Pizzas can be made to order, just call in, and let them know what toppings you prefer.
Toppings include:
green pepper, onion, Italian sausage, ham, Canadian bacon, beef topping, black olives, green olives, banana pepper rings, jalapeno peppers, bacon, mushrooms, and pineapple.
But of course, not all toppings are available at all locations.
In addition to their pizza, they also have Crazy Bread and Sauce, which has always been a hit around my house. The bread is very doughy and covered in garlic and parmesan cheese. For $2-3, it comes with a cup of sauce, which people say is the same as the sauce on the pizza, but I think it is a little tangier. Who knows. It's not my favorite. I prefer the Italian Cheese bread with the cheese melted on top. Another favorite of mine is their buffalo wings. A box of 8 wings will run $5, and the sauce is pretty kickin'. There never seems to be a solid dessert running, and right now I think they have Churros. I'm sure that will last about as long as a cat in the bathtub.
Overall
Since the pizzas are already prepared and waiting, they can't be too fresh, but they taste pretty darn good. I'm personally tired of pizza chains, and the last time I paid more than $10 for wretched piece of putrid filth at Pizza Hut, I said never again. So, not only does Little Caesars provide a pizza pie with taste-bud appealing toppings, it's cheap. There are some frozen pizzas that are pretty good if you want something fast, but they're often more expensive than the Hot-N-Ready fare you'll find here. I'd recommend this chain to anyone.
