Panera Bread is a staple as a lunch destination with my coworkers. We either go there, or pick up to eat in our office. Panera Bread was established in 1981, and is quickly spreading across the nation. As of this review, there are 1168 bakery-cafe's in forty states. The website boosts the company mission to be "A Loaf of Bread on Every Arm" and I must say, they are doing a good job of making that happen!

The "meat and potatos" (if you will) of the Panera bread experience incluse made to order sandwiches, hot soups, and fresh salads. Lunch specials include a "pick two" option where you match a half sandwich with a cup of soup, or a salad or a half sandwich and a salad. All lunch combinations include a choice of side. The choices includ bread, chips, or veggies.

The fresh bread is made daily, and they have a huge variety of selection. Freshly baked Artisan breads include Country, French, Seseme Semolina, Three Cheese (a personal favorite), Ciabatta and more! They have a full selection of hot fresh bagels, egg soufles and pastries. The variety of selection, including the fact that you can pick up fresh bread to accompany a meal, or you can pay a visit to them FOR your hot fresh meal, makes Panera Bread as versatile as it is good.

Panera Bread is a place where you would go for take out. The line is set up in stages, where you order your lunch with one person, pay another, and then wait until your number is called. It is NOT a tableservice restaurant.

I would highly recommend Panera Bread as a healthy, low cost option for breakfast or lunch.
