A Fresh Alternative

Pros:Scrumptious Brownies, Quality Ingredients, Offers Beer
Cons:A Bit More Expensive Than Normal Fast Food
The Bottom Line: Highly recommended for anyone looking for something new to McDonalds and Burger King.

Since I do not have a lot of time to cook, I eat out quiet often. And as much as I hate to eat in fast-food type of places, I catch myself doing it from time to time. But I was presently surprised when I found Qdoba.

The first thing I ever got was the burrito. And if you are thinking a small burrito, you need to think again. This one is loaded with black lots of beans, your choice of meat (chicken, steak, shredded beef, and sirloin) several different types of salsas, cheese, sour cream, and guacamole. Everything is fresh and you have to be pretty hungry to be able to finish the whole thing. There are unlimited refills on the soft drinks, and there are even a couple of beers and some fancy sodas in the refrigerator.
The burrito is one of the main things on the Qdoba menu, and it comes in many variations. The BBQ chicken burrito I found to be extremely tasty. Although I would never have thought the two would good together, I was pleasantly surprised. There are plenty more variations such as a grilled vegetable, an ancho chille and Queso burritos. There is also a taco salad available. Although I never got one yet, it does seem to be a popular choice as many people in line tend to get them.
The nachos that are often given away with coupons and when you sign up for the Qdoba card are a bit of a disappointment. They do not have a lot of flavor and are a bit too salty. The salsa that they come with unless asked for a different one is a bit watery and does not match well with the salsa. The more expensive nacho looks to be a bit better however.
And of course what Mexican place would not have quesadillas. The ones in Qdoba are extremely big, just like pretty much all the rest of the food items there. They are not shy about loading the quesadillas up with lots of cheese and meat, and although a bit greasy, they come out quiet delicious. And this place is even open for breakfast.

The deserts available are not many, only being cookies and brownies. However, the brownies are amazing and are highly recommended for anyone that enjoys sweets. The chocolate chips are baked in, the brownie is fresh and moist, and the sweetness is just right. In fact, the brownies are often the reason I go to Qdoba.

Earlier I mentioned the Qdoba card. It is a card that is given for free that is basically a frequent customer card. The card is not the best of deals even compared to some other ones I have seen. A person needs to get about 12 or 13 items to get a free one, and if you lose the card you have to start all over again. That is the part that really got to me, especially considering that you have to register for each card. But you also get special offers and usually a buy one get one free coupon for your birthday. The décor is nice and you can sit as long as you like. It would be great if the place offered wireless, but that is just wishful thinking.

Overall, this is a great chain that offers quality food for people that are in a rush. There are some options that are fairly healthy and most of the things are tasty. I highly recommend a burrito with a brownie.
