Thinly sliced turkey breast, crispy bacon, refreshing guacamole, wafer-like tomato & red onion, Ranch dressing and spice – toasted. That describes the makings of what I call the T.B.G. or what sandwich maven Quizno’s calls the Turkey Bacon Guacamole. I don’t mind that my taste buds commingle with the contents because it’s that good. Bring your mouth to the table.
Quizno’s Subs is different. It’s clean. It’s tasty. It doesn’t sing “processed meat” like the Wonder Bread of the subermarine food chain. I must admit it took me a few trips to warm into my ultimate Quizno’s experience, but now there’s no looking back. Today, millions of my tasty little buddies, taste buds - for those playing along at home, beckoned that we head straight to the source.
Quizno’s is a great sandwich outfit that features wholesome looking, fresh ingredients . . . and not just for the sake of making that claim. The sandwiches aren’t filled with meat that’s tan, taupe or brown, slices of orange cheese, pale red tomatoes, rusty lettuce and a stripe of frosting yellow mustard housed in a yeast dugout. But rather, for the purist, real turkey breast, tender roast beef, fresh mozzarella, bright red tomatoes, Romaine lettuce, cool Ranch or a Red Wine Vinaigrette Dressing and spices, served on a toasted golden-brown, baguette-style bread.
Signature Subs range from Classic Italian, Traditional, T.B.C., Mesquite Chicken, Honey Bacon Club and the Black Angus Steak.
Classic Subs range from the Hot Beefeater, Albacore Tuna, Turkey, Ham & Turkey Guac, Meatball, Veggie, Cheese and BLT.
All subs can be ordered either small, medium or large and guarantee a serious taste bud bursting, mouthful. Small $3.99, Regular $4.99, Large $6.99 - price varies per sub.
Quizno’s offers soups, chili, chips and a variety of freshly made salads. Desserts are Chocolate Bundt Cake, Carrot Bundt Cake, Apple Cobbler and Very Berry Cobbler.
Kids under 12 have a choice of pizza or mini sub combo meals for $2.99.
Quizno’s is great because they offer fresh, healthy food choices without the greasy culture of your typical, fast food, clime. No bright lights, kids barking commands via headset, or gimmicky tie-ins to wring out your last buck. Step up, sit down, and grind away, Quizno’s will have you leaving fat and happy. Bon appetite.
