My Mom just took me out for my birthday dinner, and I chose Red Lobster. When we arrived, we were greeted my a nice young gentleman who opened the door for us. He was very polite.

Originally, I had wanted the All you can eat shrimp, but decided on the Shrimp combo platter (my favorite). I had the Shrimp Rockefeller, the Lemon Pepper Shrimp and the Scampi. It was so delicious. Of course, I had those wonderful cheddar mashed potatoes on the side. I couldn't eat it all. On the downside, now when you get the calamari, it comes fried with broccoli and red peppers. It isn't bad, but I prefer the original calamari that I used to always get. And as always, the biscuits were divine. I have yet to get mine to turn out as flaky and good.
Our server was wonderful, he was very attentive and always had on a sincere smile. It wasn't the fake, "oh, yeah enjoy your meal" kind of service. He seemed to be very serious about making everyone comfortable and satisfied.
The main thing I don't like about Red Lobster is the lighting. I realize, that they are trying to go for a "ship-like" atmosphere, but I can barely read the menu. There always seems to be an orange tint to the light. And, they don't have Pepsi.
I've never left Red Lobster feeling hungry or dissatisfied. I wish I could eat here a lot more often.
