| bairdmusic's Full Review: Romano's Macaroni Grill |
Romanos Macaroni Grill is a restaurant everyone can enjoy. Whether you are two or 100, there is something for everyone.
Service
Macaroni Grills service is excellent. The hostesses and waiters/waitresses are very hospitable. They are also very pleasant and willing to assist in anything you need. The food is served quickly and also prepared to order. Menus and drinks are available by request, while you wait. The wait, depending on the time you go, is in some ways horrific. On weekends and nights, they are usually packed and the wait is up to about 30 minutes, minimum. During the daytime and on week days, the wait isn't long at all. You are seated promptly. My food always comes out as ordered and is steaming hot. There has only been a few times, where I have had to ask for a refill. The waiters/waitresses always seem to be on top of every need and can answer any question, about nay entree, on the menu.
Atmosphere
The restaurants atmosphere is like that of a romantic, soft movie. The lights are dim and tables are lighted by a candle, at the center of the table. If you go on a weekend, there may be an Italian opera singer there to serenade you with his voice (may vary from location). The pace is fast, but slow enough you can enjoy your meal and relax. The restaurant is surrounded by soft, Italian music, which is sure to set any kind of mood. The bathrooms are very clean and sanitary. You can even learn a little Italian, if you stay in there long enough. The entire restaurant is very clean and nice. There is seating available while you wait and even a cooking show, as the inside of the kitchen can be seen from any point in the restaurant. I loved the atmosphere. It made me feel as though, I actually in Italy, eating at an elegant Italian restaurant. Now, I know how awkward, those first dates can be, well not at Macaroni Grill. On every table in the house, is a white piece of paper and crayons. Go crazy and draw whatever you want. The server actually introduces themselves, by writing their name on your table. They are quite skilled and even do it backwards and upside down to them. But is of course, right-side up to us. What a way to kick those awkward conversations and generate some sweet talkin' art! Your date will be impressed.

Food and Cost
Romanos Macaroni Grill has lunch and dinner entrees. If there is a lunch item that is not located on the dinner menu or the other way around, it can be ordered upon request. For exapmle, the "Chicken Cesar Calzonetto", is not located on the dinner menu, but is on the lunch menu. By request, that entree can be ordered during dinner hours. To start, I suggest the Tomato Bruschetta. It is Toasted bread topped with extra virgin olive oil, fresh tomatoes and basil. This is a perfect appetizer to start with because it doesnt fill you up, like some starters can. The garlic spices in this appetizer are chilling. It practically melts in your mouth and leaves you begging for more. It costs around, $5.49. For dinner, I love the Grilled Chicken Cesar Calzonetto. It is Fresh pizza dough stuffed with grilled chicken, Caesar dressing, roasted tomatoes and basil pesto aioli. This menu item is not located on the dinner menu, so if you are interested, dont hesitate to ask. The calzonetto comes to be around $8.00. This entree is a light dinner, but can't be eaten in one setting. But, if you are a leftover lover, like me, it's just as good, the next day. If you like the traditional Italian food, PIZZA, the BBQ Chicken Pizza is perfect for you! It is Spicy Italian BBQ chicken smothered in bubbling mozzarella and pecorino cheeses. You most likely will have left overs, but it is great, no matter what day you eat it. The BBQ sauce is spicy and tangy and can we say irresistable to the pizza lovers. The cost for the pizza is $9.00. If youre not exactly full, by the end of your meal, the Dessert Ravioli is a perfect ending, to a perfect dinner. The Dessert Ravioli contains Crumbled peanuts, caramel and rich chocolate ganache wrapped in golden-fried pastries. Served with vanilla ice cream and topped with caramel sauce. This succulent dessert is the dessert of all desserts. This ingredient mixture, compliments each other, making the final phase of your meal, spectacular. For that wonderful dish, it costs about $4.99. An entire meal for two people would be around $40.00, which is not bad, considering how good the food is. The entrees I listed are the entrees, I order every time I visit Macaroni Grill. They are always filling and satisfying. A full menu can be found on-line at: http://www.macaronigrill.com/Menu/LocationSearch.aspx
My experience, each and every time I visit Macaroni Grill, gets better. The service gets better, the food is that much more delicious and I always leave happy and pleased. It is also perfect for any occasion ranging from just a nice dinner to a formal evening. You wont be sorry! Oh, don't forget to pick up your free, complimentary chocolate mint, as you leave. They are to die for!
