I love Sonic. This is an old-fashioned type drive-in restaurant. Some of the servers actually wear skates or roller blades. You either either in your car or at one of the outdoor tables. At this location, the staff is always friendly. The Sonic Radio plays classic oldies and 80's pop tunes. I guess that dates my age since I don't consider 80's to be Oldies. This all makes it a fun place to eat.
The varied full menu is available all day. From 2:00 - 4:00 each day they have Happy Hour. (Sorry, no alcohol!) The drinks and slushes are available at a 2 for 1 rate. If you are getting a single drink it's half price.
Usually I get a hot dog with chili and cheese and a Diet Cherry Limeade. During Happy Hour it comes to just under $4. They also offer popcorn chicken, burgers and Frito pie. To me, the popcorn chicken is almost always overdone. My daughter loves it. I skip it.
The side items include onion rings, mozarella sitcks, fries or tater tots.
Breakfast is available all day. (I'm not a huge breakfast fan so I never order it.) The menu items include breakfast sandwiches on toast and items for kids.
The beverages are terrific. They have soft drinks, fruit slushes, iced tea, Powerade and bottled water. Plus, you can add flavorings. They have chocolate, vanilla and lime.
The food is served hot. Sometimes you have to let it cool before you can eat it. The servers are friendly. They always bring straws, condiments and extra napkins whether you think to ask for them or not. The extra touch is the couple of mints they either toss in with your order or tape to your drink. It's just a nice little extra.
Their website is user friendly and responsive. I check there fairly frequently. If you become a Sonic Cruiser you'll receive periodic emails and information. It's easy to sign up for that on their website. Gift cards are available and can be reloaded online.
Sonic is just a fun place to get a quick bite to eat. The service is good and the food is great.
