TCBY: The Country's Best Yogurt was founded in Little Rock, Arkansas by Frank Hickingbotham in 1981 and started franchising in 1982. By 1998, TCBY had over 3,000 locations worldwide. Over the years, TCBY's menu has grown and features many more options other than just yogurt including sorbet, smoothies, shivers and parfaits.
TCBY was the first company that I know of to focus just on healthy frozen yogurt rather than traditional ice cream. TCBY offers healthy treats such as sorbet and low fat frozen yogurt, but also has more indulgent treats such as Mrs. Field's ice cream, shivers and sundaes. TCBY offers something for every taste and even has cakes and pies for special occasions.

Specialty Items: Sundaes, Thriller Cappuccino Chillers, Waffle Cones and Dipped Waffle Cones, Moo Malts, Specialty Splits, Shivers, Shakes, Sorbet Fizz and Parfaits.

WHY I LOVE TCBY:
The taste of TCBY is excellent, the best frozen yogurt I have ever tasted. When I need a healthy treat, I go for just plain Fat Free Chocolate or Vanilla Yogurt. Other times I splurge for the full Sundae with Hot Fudge and Reeses Cups..Yum! The waffle cones are also great.
TCBY franchises are typically small with some seating and can be very busy during the summer, but are open all year long! I hear that in some areas, Subway and TCBY are attached. I have yet to experience this, but I would be in heaven. Healthy fast food that actually tastes good! It depends on your location, but I have always experienced good customer service at TCBY's that I have visited...no complaints here!
TCBY may be a bit more expensive than you are used to for ice cream and yogurt. I believe that one regular cone or cup is in the $2 range, possibly higher. But to me, the cost is well worth it! Therefore, I give TCBY 5 Stars...tons of options, healthy choices and great tastes!
