Tim Hortons has always been a favorite! They've become even better within the past few years, adding a whole line of soups and sandwiches, cappucino, and bagels. One (or two?) of the stores in my area even has a drive thru now which is great in the morning when you're in a rush.
The coffee has always been good, and I don't know what's in it, but it's even more addictive than the coffee I make at home. It must have more caffeine added or something. It's always a treat to stop in and get a cup of Joe from Tims!
The doughnuts are almost always fresh, except sometimes late at night. Nonetheless, the doughnuts are always good, stale or not. ;)
And I just love the vast array of treats they have. It seems like every time I go in, there is another option; another delicious looking, mouth watering treat. Bowties are one of my personal favorites!
The bagels are a great way to start off the morning if you don't have time (or are just too plain lazy) to cook your own breakfast. My favorite bagel/cream cheese combo is an onion bagel with herb and garlic cream cheese, but it doesn't do a whole lot for your breath!
Their sandwiches are a great option for lunch, and they even offer a veggie sandwich, which is nice for vegetarian diners. They also offer soups and chili.
The service is always great and pales in comparison to the service you get from other minimum wage workers. It must be because these people get tips regularly. If you go to Tim's - don't forget to give the workers a tip for their friendly service!
The sheer prevalence of Tim Horton's stores says a lot about their popularity. In our very small city, we have five Tim Horton's stores. In contrast, we only have two fast food burger stores (one McDonalds and one Burger King).
