I am relatively new to the Whataburger scene. I moved down south earlier this year and became giddy upon encountering a fast food restaurant other than McD's or B. King. However, my excitement did not last. Whataburger is not all that it is cracked up to be.
Whataburger takes forever and a day to produce an order through the drive-thru. On an average, I spend around ten minutes waiting on my food. Also, Whataburger's hamburgers are virtually tasteless. The burger patties taste like a rice cake. Whataburger is horrible about special requests, too. When I ask for extra onions or no lettuce, I will get extra lettuce and no onions. In addition, the sodas are watery.
There is one good thing I have to say for Whataburger, their ketchup packets are awesome. Instead of getting the usual little packet that tears open and gets squeezed onto my fries, Whataburger offers a little "cup" of ketchup that resembles McD's barbeque sauce packet for their nuggets. The ketchup cup is great because I can just tear the top off and dip my fries into it. No mess, lots of ketchup.
I would not personally recommend eating at Whataburger unless it is three in the morning and you are starving for fast food.
