| MindyMarie065's Full Review: Olive Garden |
The Olive Garden restaurant is not exactly authentic Italian Cuisine, but it is very tasty, reasonably priced, and there is plenty of it! I frequent the Olive Garden, visiting at least once every two weeks. There is a great array of entrees to choose from, most including some kind of pasta. This restaurant is definitely not a good choice if you're worried about your carbohydrate intake!
Regardless of your entree choice, you are treated to their unlimited garlic breadsticks, which are my favorite part of the meal. I recommend accompanying them with the Alfredo dipping sauce, which costs extra, but is well worth the $1.50. You also have your choice of soup or salad, the salad being graced with their signature Italian Dressing. Delicious!
My favorite entree is the new Ravioli de Portabello. It is ravioli stuffed with mushrooms and cheese, topped with a cream sauce, green onions and tomatoes. Other favorites are the Seafood Alfredo, Lasagne, and Manicotti.
The desserts are wonderful as well, I recommend the Raspberry cheesecake or Berry Crostada.
What I love about the Olive Garden is that every time you go, the food is consistent. I think that goes along with the chain restaurant thing, but it is a plus--I like to know what I'm going to get when I go out to eat. There is nothing I hate about the Olive Garden, other than how full I feel when I leave! It usually takes an hour or two for my pants to fit again--I recommend elastic waist!
