Pros: Once assembled, looks like it would be a cool model!
Cons: Difficult to put together and instructions hard to follow for a 10 year old.
This Revell '68 Corvette roadster 2'in 1 Model was given to our 10 year old son as a birthday gift. He enjoys putting Lego kits together, so we thought this may be something he would also enjoy. He started of very excited to assemble, but as he saw the many pieces involved, I think he became overwhelmed. He has never done a model like this, so keep that in mind when reading this review. If your child has done various models like this, he may have no problem at all. It does not come with any glue or paint, so the first thing we had to do was go and buy that. We purchased the Testors Cement for plastic models, but it did not seem to work very well. He got frustrated when the pieces would not stay together! The plastic parts are white and silver and are attached together on plastic sheets. Do not take the pieces off until ready to assemble that piece, as the part number for most of the pieces are on the plastic frame that holds the pieces together. If you take all the pieces off you will have no idea what part is what! It does come with a black and white instruction booklet, which is somewhat vague. After messing with it for a couple of days, he lost interest and had to put it away. I think he is a little too young for this to be his first model!
