Cons:slow charging

The Bottom Line: If you prefer the Android operating system over IOS than this is the device for you.  It is one of the best Android tablet on the market today.

The Galaxy Tab is Samsung's answer to the Ipad 2.  Buit on the Anrdroid operating system running the latest Gingerbread build, the tab is sleek and elegant unlike many earlier Android tablets.  There is still a fair amount of work to be done on the user interface before its a smooth as IOS.  However, Android is a much more customizable experience.  The Android market is now big enough that you will be able to get most of the big name IOS games such as Angry Birds.

From a  distance the Galaxy Tab looks pretty much identical to the Ipad 2.  The only physical buttons are a power button and a volume rocker.  The Tab runs on a dual core 1ghz processer that can load the full version of flash based websites with ease.  One area where Samsung differentiates themselves from the competition is in screen resolution.  It boasts a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution which beats even the Ipad 2 which only has a 1024x768 pixel resolution.

The battery life in the Tab is very good.  I have never managed to completely drain the battery throughout the course of the day even though I'm constantly using the Tab for browsing, video, and school. The one drawback is that the tablet takes forever to charge because of a short and underpowered charging cable.

Overall though the Tab is one of the premier Android tablets and it brings to the table some features rarely found in other available tablets such as a seperatly sold media and keyboard docks.
