Pros:It does a decent job of getting clothes clean, when it works right.

Cons:See list of cons in description.

The Bottom Line: Fix your old machine, you'll be much happier.

I bought my Samsung WF331ANW washer (and matching dryer, which has already been serviced for faulty thermostats) in Nov. of 2011, when my old machine died.  I did a lot of research (online and in stores) before I decided which machine I would buy.  I was impressed with how little water and electricity it uses.  I knew I wanted a front-loader, because you just don't get the load-balancing issues with them like you do the top-loading machines.

Well, the first week I had it, I literally baby-sat the machine because it ran for several hours (on the regular cycle) and would not go into the spin cycle.  I opened the door and resituated the load about 20 times before I finally got it to spin.  By the way, it starts spinning with 6 minutes remaining, but as soon as you pause it to redistribute the clothes, it jumps to 10 minutes.  It took me 7 hours to get 2 loads of laundry done the first weekend!  After the second weekend of similar issues, I called the store I bought them from, and they exchanged the machine for another new one of the same model.  The first few weeks with the second machine were fine.  However, I cannot wash anything big, like blankets or pillows in it, because the machine apparently can't handle balancing it.  The machine walks halfway across the room during the spin (when it actually gets to a full spin).

The cons are many:
1.  There is no way to just do a spin cycle.  The closest is a 20-minute long rinse and spin.
2.  There are major balancing sensor issues with this model.
3.  The cycles are very long.  The normal cycle is 58 minutes, the steam cycles are close to and more than 2 hours FOR ONE LOAD!  Who's got that kind of time to do laundry?  My family of 4 usually makes 3 loads of color clothing and one load of whites, so it would take me an entire day to do laundry if I used the sanitize cycle for all of them.
4.  You cannot wash pillows of any size/shape/kind in this machine, even though there is a "bedding" cycle.
5.   The signal that a load is complete is an annoying little song that cannot be changed (the only options are lower volume or off).
6.  It will keep reshuffling the clothes for hours before it finally tells you there's a problem.
7.  There's  a little drain plug that has to be emptied every 2 months.
8.  It's easy to "spill" the detergent/softener when closing the drawer that you pour them into.
9.  It apparently does use very little electricity and water (it's apparent because sometimes there will be large spots on items that obviously never got wet during the washing).

There are 11 different cycles on this machine, of which most use steam too.  The time for each ranges from 25 minutes for a light soil "quick wash" to 1:57 for the sanitize cycle.  So far, I have not used most of them.  I really wish it had just a spin cycle setting, for  spinning the water out of clothing without having to do an entire wash cycle.  When I tried to wash several pillows, I ended up loading the sopping wet pillows in a plastic basket and hauling them to the laundromat to dry them because my machine would not spin them dry.  And after the kids play in the sprinkler, I'd like to just throw them in the machine and have it wring the water out.  Nope.  Not with this machine.

The advertising for this machine says you can do lots of towels in a single load, but I've only been able to fit about 6-7 bath sheets (slightly larger than typical bath towels) in a load.  If you put more than that in, only half of them actually get wet.  It seems as though the outer towels soak up the water, so the inner towels don't get very wet.

I would run, not walk, to any other manufacturer if you plan to buy a washer.  I can't begin to express the amount of frustration this machine has given me.   I suggest avoiding Samsung at all costs.
