The Scripto Aim ‘N Flame II Multi-Purpose Lighter is a handy trigger-operated lighter with a long reach that allow for easy and safe lighting of all kinds of things around the house, including candles, pilot lights, hurricane lamps, fireplaces, barbecues and gas grills, camping equipment, and more. 

To operate this lighter you need to first roll the wheel at the top of the lighter forward you’re your thumb, and continue to hold while pressing the ignition button trigger with your index finger.  The flame is adjustable with a little inset button on the top.  The long barrel measures about 5 ½” from the trigger, which is generally quite adequate for most situations. 

The lighter comes in a variety of colors.  I have a bright green one, which makes it easy to locate in a drawer, camp bag, or RV.

~ My Experience

I’ve tried different brands of these kinds of utility lighters, and some are definitely easier to use than others.  The Scripto Aim ‘N Flame II is probably the easiest, yet still safest, utility lighter I’ve used. 

The wheel is easy to roll forward while at almost the same time pressing the trigger.  The wheel is large enough so you can easily move it forward and hold while pressing the trigger.  This is actually an ingenious design, because although adults can easily use this, it’s difficult for children to do so.  I’ve used some utility lighters that even I find a bit frustrating to use, but the Aim ‘N Flame II works smoothly and relatively easily. 

The flame is about the perfect setting as-is, but you can dial it down with a little button that inset on the top of the lighter.  It’s good that it’s inset, because you don’t want to accidently change the flame while in use. 

There is a hole at end of the handle for hanging storage, which could come in handy, although I store mine in a drawer.

I use mine for candles mostly, but it also works great for my gas stove if the power goes out.  This is great for camping and RV use as well.  Why bother with little matches when you can use this to more safely light anything?  The flame stays for as long as you hold the trigger and wheel at the top, so not burning out matches before the job is done. 

~ Final Thoughts
 
Scripto Aim ‘N Flame II is the BEST multi-purpose utility lighter on the market, and I simply won’t buy any other kind.  For $3.99, you can’t beat it.
