Pros:Two rows of bands each have mini teeth that really hold
Cons:It wasn't comfortable for very long, dug into my head
The Bottom Line: A very attractive headband that holds very well, but I did not find it comfortable
Plastic headbands have never been something that I have been able to wear for very long. Almost all of them have caused me to have a headache and I end up taking them off.

My husband and I love to golf, but the golf course near us often gets windy and I really needed a good headband to keep my hair out of my face while on the golf course. I've tried softer headbands made of stretchy fabric, and while they are comfortable they always slide down and bunch up at the nape of my neck.
My local Fred Meyer store had quite a few styles of Scunci headbands to choose from, and the Plastic Split Headband looked very attractive. It was connected to the cardboard packaging with thin plastic strips, so it could not be tried on in the store. I had high hopes that it would work for me!
When worn, the band looks like two narrow bands, connected on the ends or tips of the band. Overall the two bands are quite wide, similar to those wide headbands available, about 1 1/4" wide. I liked that it came in a medium brown color as it blends in with my hair color.
Both of the narrow bands have miniature teeth that really do help keep hair in place and out of my face, and although I worried that the teeth would dig into my head, they did not. However, the tips of the headband seemed a bit longer than others and they did tend to dig into the area behind my ears. I didn't find this headband comfortable enough to wear for 2-3 hours on the golf course.
I ended up replacing it with a set of three Scunci headbands without the teeth and ones that look like they are covered with leather. I find these more comfortable.
If you are not sensitive to hard plastic headbands, I think the plastic split headband may work well for you. The two rows of bands with built in plastic teeth (or mini combs) really does stay in place and it keeps hair in place. I just didn't find it comfortable enough, but then I have a very sensitive head. The headband retailed for only $2.99, so it is fairly inexpensive and worth trying.
