Skate. Simple one word title. Control scheme? Simple, at least sometimes it is. Honestly, it's a realistic take on the genre (unlike Tony Hawk games). The "flickit" control scheme has the right analog stick being used; all the moves are done with it. Cool concept, but there are a couple complaints: Grinds are done by landing on the surface you wish to grind. You ollie then hope you land correctly. No grind button, sorry guys. Manuals here are WAY BETTER than Tony Hawk's. You ease the stick back, so there's NO balance meter. However, a button press should have been used. The "story" mode is okay, too. Unfortunately, this is where the flaws of the game shine through (shine like sh*t that is). The traffic and pedestrians are stupid. Some of the goals are a tad bit stupid as well. Why would you have skaters sharing a rail when all they do is crash into each other? The trick system IS innovative but also inconsistent. I'd have stuck with the button format, but hey. The camera is a pain as well. It IS an ambitious game. If they fix some things(like flaws) this could be a good franchise.
