America west arena is very good place to see a game unless your are one of the unlucky fans that has to sit in front of one of the few structural pillars that blocks your view of the action partially.
When I first can to see america west arena I was lucky enough to get inside and take a look at the arena before before I ever went to see a hockey game there. I was able to make sure I was not seated near that obstruction.
The AWA otherwise is a great arena with a great pro-shop for the Phx Suns and the Coyotes. food prices were compareable with most other arena though slightly higher than than the BOB (Bank One Ballpark) down the street.
Still I have to rate this venue highly for everything they do to try to please the fans. especially since they are trying to correct the obstruction problem that is prevalent in a few locations.
AWA has benefits over the Capitol Center and the Oakland Coliseum with it modern facility and easy to get to location. Parking can be difficult to get and costly if multiple venues are having activities like the BOB having a game and the civic center having a concert. otherwise parking is doable.
