Comerica Park has something for everyone

Pros:Great views, ample parking, many food choices, and history!!

Cons:somewhat high prices (although they have gone down)

The Bottom Line: It is much roomier than Tiger Stadium and they are no more poles in front of you. I like the green seats and the Tiger Den seats.

Parking
Parking is managed by Olympia Entertainment and has several lots. The Tiger Garage is usually open to non season ticket holders but it will Cost $20. The Fox Theather Garage only costs $15 and there are some $10 and $8 lots that can be accessed from the I-75 Service Drive and can be a 5 or 10 min walk to the park. My advice, park on the Cobo Roof (Exit at Howard Street from the Lodge Freeway) and take the People Mover. It will only cost $4 for parking and $1 per person each way for the people mover. Exit the People Mover at Broadway or Grand Circus and walk across the street to the park.

Entrances
The main gate, Gate A, is always busy. So I recommend Gate D(Montcalm Street behind Home Plate) or Gate C (Adams street by Ford Field and the Scoreboard). But with current crowds, you probably won't have to wait to long to get inside the park. Gates open two hours prior to game time and you can watch batting practice or seek autographs by the visitors dugout. Insiders' tip, look up when walking outside the park and notice the tigers hold baseball lights in there mouth!! It is pretty cool!

Tickets
Ticket are really easy to get (Ticketmaster.com, call 248-25-TIGER, at the box office, or Marshall Field's) and since the team is in last place right now, they are not many sellouts. Ticket prices have gone down since Comerica Park opened and it is really cheap to go to the game. $5 Skyline tickets are easy to get but are way up there. My advice, if you want cheap seats, go for the $8 Fan Stands (Located above the bullpens on the lower level, reserved bleacher seats) or $12 Upper Reserved Seats (Located down the left field line or the upper level, actual chair seats with a cup holder). They both include a concession coupon for a small Pepsi and a choice of hotdog or Little Ceasar Pizza Slice. The $14 Pavilion seats are the worst in my opinion because they are in fron of the scoreboard and are in the sun.

Premium Seats
Comerica Park has 4 areas of premium seats and prices are a lot lower than when the park opened. The Tiger Den Seats are located on the lower level directly from the main concourse and are covered. These seats are like lounge chairs, they'r wooden and moveable with thick green pads. What's best is there is a drink table that you can move and there is a waiter who will serve you from a very limited menu. The On Deck Circle seats are the first 13 rows on the lower level in between the dugouts. Theses seats are right in the action and are 22 inch seats with a cupholder. Both seats include access to the Tiger Den Lounge which features a Bar, Grill Food (Burgers, Nacho, Chicken Fingers, and Wrap Sandwhich), 2 Big Screen TV's, Private Entrance, restrooms, and lockers to store your stuff in. Seats also incude access to the Tiger Club which is the ballpark luxurious restaurant. It features a $23.95 all you can eat buffet, glassed in view of the field, and a private entrance. The Club is on the lower suite level in right field and if you have a $60 ticket, you get in for free; but, have to pay for any food or drink. Terrace Seats are like the Tiger Den but are down the 1st and 3rd base line. They are $35 and don't feature any special access priviliges or in seat waiter. Club seats are the first five rows of the upper level and are $25. They are 22 inches and padded but that's it, no club privilges or private concourse level.

Concourse
The main concourse is really wide, at least 40 feet. There are not many traffic jams here. They are plenty or restrooms and usually the guys have a little wiat over the ladies. There are plenty of food options like the Big Cat Court behind section 119 and first base. It features elephant ears, gyro's, subs, lemonade, ice cream, chicken fingers, and the best pretzels in the park!! The center is the Comcast Carousel which fetaures 30 tigers and cost $2 but on Sundays it free to all kids!!! The Brushfire Grill and Union Beerhall is located behind section 131 and third base. The grill features bbq food and flame grilled food and the Beer Hall features, Beer! The Brushfire Grille has a 50 foot tall ferris wheel and it has 12 baseball shaped cars. It cost $2 but on Sundays it is free! The main concourse also features the decade bats which are every 200 feet. They start behind section 117 or right by the main entrance. The Walk of Fame features info like how much a ticket cost and what the Tigers won. Here's an insiders tip, look at the tires at the bottom of each bat, they change with the decade. The Upper Concourse features the Upper Deck Lounge and it is open to all, it has a bar and some light food service, and restrooms. Its only one of two bars on the upper level in any Major League Stadium, (The other is in Anaheim). The statues are located in left-center field and are made of stainless steel and are 13 feet tall. This area becomes quite crowded because it features greats like Cobb, Kaline, Horton, Newhouser, Greenburg, and Gehringer. Visit this area first or last.
